Dear Diary

I can't believe how dead this blog has become. It's practically mummified. Buried in a tomb. Wrapped in... I don't know, linen? Bandages? Tissue paper?

Happy 2014, by the way! Sorry for how delayed this post is. *hides face in shame*

It's hard to believe that we're already three weeks into the new year; but then again, we do say something along those lines every single year. "Wow! How fast this year has passed!" or "I can't believe it's already *insert new year here*"

And then there are the back-to-school students who drag their textbook-filled backpacks to their dreaded schools, sitting in class while looking around for new students of the opposite gender, to add to their potential crush list (I made that up lol I don't know if people do that). Going back to school just means meeting all your friends again after four weeks of sitting at home, wasting your hours on Twitter and YouTube. Waking up at 5:30 in the morning just means getting to continue their beauty sleep during add maths class. The new year also means having to write "4" over the last digit in 2013 on homework.

But -- I really miss going through all these  back-to-school experiences. An unexpected emptiness kind of sank into me as I went through the first two weeks of January without textbooks, worksheets and homework. Can't believe I'm saying this but: I miss school. :(

I'd say 2014 started off pretty awesome. I spent New Year's Eve with the church mates, at Sha's house. It was amazing to start the new year with a worship session that was completely impromptu and unplanned. We spent the first hour of 2014 in a little circle in front of the piano, just worshipping God.

I slept over at Sha's house that night and watched movies till 6 a.m. You are not advised to sleep that late (early) because you'll end up being zombified the next morning. Seriously.

Another highlight of January was this:

I got to meet up with my old school mates from Sri Sempurna! It's been two years since I last saw them, and, because David (who now lives in Australia) came back to KL for a visit, we arranged to meet up at Mid Valley one Sunday. We had a blast at Comics Mart, where we played at least five different board games... For only RM6. Cheapest outing ever (y)

I spent the rest of the time this month starting work in my dad's music centre. I learnt how to do stock checks (which is the most tedious thing ever, I tell you). I got to play with a barcode scanner though. (Y) Also, I've started teaching piano and drum lessons to beginners! I already have four students :D

I recently had the urge to make one of those mug brownies I always see YouTubers and bloggers talk about. So I did one yesterday and one today, and they both turned out pretty delicious. Today's one was nicer though, because the oven had some problems yesterday.

My first attempt:
(That's icecream btw)

All stories and fun stuff aside, I have been taking forever to decide on what to study. As of now, I plan to study A-Levels (July intake) in Methodist College KL. As for my major, well, let's just pray and hope God shows me the way.

From now till July, though, I'll be working in Capen Music and continue teaching in my mother's learning centre as well. Might as well earn some money while I can ;)

'Til next time!

P.S. I've registered for Grade 8 Piano exam. It should be around August. Nervous & excited!

P.P.S. MY O-LEVEL RESULTS ARE COMING OUT SOON. LIKE... THIS WEEKEND.

P.P.P.S. My birthday next month! ;)
