This blog's been pretty much unconscious, due to...

Oh, alright, I've got no excuse. Just been lazy.

A week ago, Kuala Lumpur and a few other parts of Malaysia were covered in haze, and so was Singapore. Thick layers of smoke hovered over us, sometimes even entering our homes and basically destroying our respiratory systems. Many were admitted into hospital because of recurring asthma attacks and even pneumonia. Air purifiers ruled the house and masks were sold out in pharmacies. Yeah, it was that bad. School closed for a day, and in parts like Klang, schools closed for even longer. The haze even kind of entered my head and I felt so foggy and blur.

But the haze only hung about for about three days, in KL at least. By Thursday, the condition in Cheras had improved like mad and everyone was feeling much better.

one of my instagram posts.
just after the haze, when i was finally able to see things clearly.

I was also on an internet fast during this week-of-haze, which is a VALID REASON WHY I DIDN'T BLOG. As usual...

Last Sunday, I attended the musical held at CCC, called His Life. I went with a bunch of my church friends, and I also met a LOT of people I knew at Calvary Church. The musical is done by this Korean-American church from New York. They're GOOD. The narrator's voice was deep and Texan, and it was probably his brother who played Jesus. Peter and Satan were the two other Americans. The rest of the cast were Korean, I think. But all of them are really talented, in drama and vocals. At the end, the whole cast came out to perform a finale song, and the actors of Jesus, Peter, Satan and the Narrator sang a four-part harmony that sounded ANGELIC. It was perfect.

These past few days, I've been reading a book, Between Shades of Gray, by Ruta Sepetys. It's about a Lithuanian fifteen-year-old named Lina, set in 1941, during World War II. It's about how she and her family suffers as they're being tortured by Soviets, who deport Lithuanians to various parts of the world including Siberia. The whole novel is filled with so much pain and emotion. It is really one of the best books I've ever read. It is a New York Times bestseller. :)

And one last thing! The beautiful over-edited sky says hi. :D

ciao.
