So excited.

Random thought: I was resting my head on my arm, ear on my wrist, and I actually heard my blood pulsing through my veins. Creepy.

Anyway, hello to you people out there! Sorry I haven't been updating; been busy with school work and things.

I am really really incredibly grateful to my mom for being there to keep reminding me to study, study, study and take my distracting phone away. It is because of her strictness that I've managed to score in some of my tests.

My English paper was disappointing though. 78 out of 100. So. Freaking. Close. To. An. A. Argh.

So I'm here, heart thumping with excitement for tomorrow.

THE FIRST FULL DRESS REHEARSAL FOR A-LL13 THE MUSICAL! Whee.

Gonna be wearing my really cool costume, and people are gonna start doing hair and makeup. Not very excited about makeup though. Especially lip-related makeup. Yuck.

I vow to myself to sleep before 12:30, and I'm sticking to it.

Thanks for coming back to read this! :)

Pigs And Cupboards And Knives

I apologize for the ridiculously random title. ------

So I'm done with the Business test and English paper 2. Hooray. No tests for tomorrow and Thursday, unless you count Malay. But it's easy and shizz so I'm not worried about it.

I'm DARN worried about my Computer test this Friday though. This term is the first I'm taking this subject, so this is the first test. I'm quite sure I'm not able to ace it, but I'm hoping from the bottom of my heart and soul and lung and kidneys that I'll at least get a low B. If not, HOW?!

Anyway, I've just remembered that I've not shared my cover of Good Time (Owl City ft. Carly Rae Jepsen) that I did with Resha. Here's the link -> http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J98Fo_VuJm8 :)

Thank you for helping me pass a 100 pageviews!

It's Been Awhile!

Hey all! I've just completed my Biology test in school just now and darn, it was difficult. It was more I'm-not-sure difficult than I-don't-know-how difficult though. The questions were real tricky.

For now, I can throw away all memory of nephrons and neurons and hair follicles at least till the end of year test. All I have to concentrate on is Business Studies. Abraham Maslow and his hierachy of needs, here I come!

Anyway, I'm really grateful for all those readers who visit my blog every time I share a post on Facebook and Twitter, and I hope you guys keep on reading. Your support is much appreciated!

Dance, sweetheart, dance.

She thumps her fist hard on the barre in front of her, frustrated. She glares at her own reflection in the mirror. Her eyebrows meet in the middle, almost touching. Her face is flushed and tear-stained. Her tight bun remains in the hairnet, but a few strands push out of their tight-knit group and fall limply across her face. Her tear-filled gray eyes glare angrily back, reflecting her exhaustion.

She drives her fists into her eyes, trying to stop the tears from spilling over. She had been practicing the same routine for months, failing to perfect it. Endless lectures and warnings of not putting in enough effort had done a lot of damage to her insecure soul. She worked even harder nonetheless, spending at least three hours in the basement, torturing her strained muscles and exerting herself to the extremes.

Inhaling deeply, she places her left ankle on the barre and straightens her back leg, feeling the muscles being pulled. Arching her back, she slowly bends forward, holding her left foot. Letting out a groan, she lets go of her foot and collapses backwards, landing roughly on the wooden dance floor. She rubs her sore calf. A tear slips down her hot cheek.

After the pain has subsided, she leans back and lies down flat on the floor, limbs sprawled. She breathes in and out slowly. She closes her eyes and soon drifts into a world where legendary dancers live. She imagines herself there, dancing en pointe, with graceful steps and a perfect posture. Soft whispers fill her calm soul, telling her to "Dance, sweetheart, dance."

RS.

So it's 11:49 pm and I'm already feeling sleepy. Must be those teenage things.

There's a Religious Studies a.k.a. Bible test tomorrow, and I'm all prepared.

To fail.

Nah, just kidding. I'm alright, but not sure if I can ace it though.

Good night everyone, and I love you for reading my blog.

Bye.

Exhausted. To the max.

Hi guys.

I've just come back from musical rehearsal, all tired and stuff. My eyelids are drooping like crazy and I've been yawning continuously for the past three minutes. But I was nice enough to stay up and write for my fans.

Kidding. What fans?

Anyway, I'm really glad that I got to be a part of this production that my church is doing, even if I got a small part. It's always been one of my dreams to be able to perform onstage, in front of thousands. This is so far the closest I've had to that.

I'll be dancing to a Hairspray song, with eleven other people whom I have met just recently. They're all fun and pretty awesome, real friendly and all that.

Dance rehearsals, which are held twice a week, are a joy. I look forward to them every day, even though I know for sure that I'd be coming home starving, physically drained and sleepy. My legs would be wobbling and my eyes would be half-closed (as it is right now). But I'd feel a certain sense of wholeness, since I'd just spent at least 2 hours with people whom I have just befriended. Every day -- and this might sound really weird, but I get to say what I want -- I get more and more excited to meet these new friends again for another rehearsal.

All in all, I'm really excited and nervous for the premiere show this October, and I'm really glad that I had the chance to be part of this production. I might not be able to dance well, but I really hope this musical would touch people's life and be an inspiration to them.

And the show will turn out awesome, then all glory will go to God. Yay! :)

Already half asleep,
Jessica.

Peanut Butter.

Seventeen, as you might be able to guess, is one of my favorite numbers.

*slaps self* Stop being such a liar, you have no favorite number, stupid.

Alright then. I have no favorite number. It's just my birth date: February the seventeenth. Now that you know, I expect more gifts next year. *winks*

Anyway, I've recently found seventeen an extremely fascinating number. Seventeen, even as a double-digit number, belongs to the group of prime numbers. What is a prime number? It is a number divisible by one and itself. You have got to admit that's kind of cool. It's so un-mainstream and so hipster, it being all divisible by itself. And one, of course, but who cares about that.

Prime numbers are so awkward.

Welcome to my blog of whims and fancies, the consequences of too much Nutella and just me expressing my fourteen-year-old brain. You'll love me, I promise. *winks*

Have fun reading my blog.

Then go and fry your head in peanut butter.

Bye.
