26.12.13

'tis the season

Prepare for another ridiculously long post.

 3 Days Till Christmas + After-Party (21.12.13)

My church, EAGLEPOINT Puchong, produced a Christmas short film, called "3 Days Till Christmas."
1 a.m. Productions, BRAVO.
There was also a Christmas party held by TeensROCK! after the short film.
I invited a few of my friends.

Resha refused to be in the photo :(

yay

The next day I came for the second time to watch the short film,
and managed to take a photo of some of the movie characters standing around.

Everyone kept mistaking the jedi as Jesus idk.

The Party on Christmas Eve (24.12.13)

As an annual tradition, my family holds a Christmas party for our relatives.
This year I decided to invite Kathy as well (Kathy is starting to be a permanent fixture on my blog lol).
She and my cousin Michelle came over to my place early to help out with the preparations and such.

fail focus.

And, of course, an important element of every successful party:

food.

Thank you Kathy for cooking the pasta.

yes, my family has sushi for christmas every year

After dinner, we played crazy games organized by my dad,
a tradition we never fail to keep since childhood.

this game involved too much standing and squatting; my legs were shaking afterwards.

ping-pong with ridiculously tiny bats. just like something my dad would do.
after that it was basketball, but with ping-pong balls and cups filled with water. mission: impossible.

After being all exhausted from the games, it was time to give out the gifts.
The moment everyone has been waiting for...

idk

i got my cousin the troll-est gift ever. you're supposed to get all the orange balls to one side and all the blue ones to the other. HAHAHA.

favourite photo. thank you so much for dem beautiful shoes, brother.

I like this picture too. :D

And then my cousin showed us what she's been learning at her belly dancing class.
Pretty impressive I must say.
So so so much stamina.

*applause*
Best part though, was this.

MY GRANDMAAAA "BELLY DANCING"!
Had us all in tears of extreme laughter!
She is the one my dad, uncles and aunts got their crazy streak from.

can't handle this much swag.

merry christmas!

 Christmas (25.12.13)

In the morning, my family attended the Christmas service in church.
After the service, (it totally felt like a Sunday although not) my brother, Ivan, Vivien and I went to
Paradigm mall to do something that I've been wanting to do for weeks.

We watched Disney's FROZEN! *happy dance*

gotta love that cinema lighting.

All that hype and ratings for Frozen were well deserved. Disney really outdid themselves this time.
There were twists that you'd never expect from perfect-fairytale-world-Disney.
The graphics were, as expected, of high quality.
BUT. THE MUSIC; INDESCRIBABLE.
Not overly catchy (although Do You Wanna Build A Snowman is getting slightly annoying),
but still has the trademark Disney lyrics and arrangement.
Just... wowowow. Clap clap for you, Disney.

After Paradigm, we went to a Christmas party held by a family from church, Eunice's family.
We teens had our usual jam session before and after dinner,
then I went to play Las Vegas, a casino-related board game.
No actual gambling involved though. ;)

Had loads and loads of fun with the franz (friends*)
until I realized some people who shall remained unnamed decided to
bomb my phone with tons of selfies. Idk.

what why

Yes, I'm a bit of a giant among these beautiful girls.

every group of friends needs this type of photo.
(feat. Ivan the photobomb)

a summary of the people i spent my christmas with. :)

And last but not least:

favourite photo of the year.

blessed christmas and a happy new year!
God bless

*2014 is next wednesday omg*

since the last post;

Due to the lack of motivation to blog, I've been neglecting this place for months. APOLOGIES.

But yeah, since the last post about my high school graduation, too many things have happened. This has been the most eventful long holiday of my life.

The month of December started with sending a good friend off. It's been a good two years, Carmen, and I hope you flourish to your full potential (lol wat) where you are now. God bless you Car. :)

It's weird how we're doing the exact same pose and she still looks more feminine than I do. What sorcery...?

The next big thing that happened in December was the move. Yes, I moved house. After 15 years of living in Cheras (different parts though), I have finally uprooted and moved somewhere else. All information is confidential. Not telling you where, boo.

the last photo of my room. look at dem plastic bags; they're filled with my books.
I left for my church's teens camp, "The Recruits", before we actually moved house. The camp was pretty cool, what with the whole "army" theme. We were forced to wake up early in the morning and participate in some hardcore (ha, not really, I'm just really unhealthy) exercises. Our phones were taken away and could only be returned during lunch and dinner.

For me the best thing about this camp was just getting to know my spiritual family better, and even making new friends. I was placed in a group in which I only knew ONE person, but yet we managed to bond over those four days. Every session was inspirational and practical, yet so filled with the Word of God. The games were super well organized by some of our teens, and the skits performed during the last night left us all rolling on the floor laughing. And last but not least, I got the opportunity to serve alongside the BEST WORSHIP TEAM EVAH! (love you guys)

*I don't have many photos of this camp because I didn't have my phone with me.
swag.
After camp, I came home to an entirely new house. I haven't had time to get any photos of the rooms and the insides of the house because everything's still in a mess, but I got a photo of the fanciest facility in this condominium.
more swag.

After settling for just a bit in the new place, I headed off to another camp, this time a youth camp by Calvary Church.
the theme of the camp. (the t-shirt glows in the dark omg)

Kathy and I in the bus on the way to camp, waddup?

The camp was refreshing, for reals. I completely broke down, for the first time in my life, and felt so new after that. Pastor Joshua Ko (all the way from Hawaii) was just a fantastic camp speaker and he spoke with such passion and the Holy Spirit, with a pinch of humour here and there. Just the right mix for easily-bored teenagers like us.

mah girls :*  (photo credits to russ)

the people i hung out with during camp. love y'all!
roomies!

'twas a fun (and large) camp.

With this I shall end my post because
it's getting ridiculously long and boring.
